If you don’t know it yet I’m a mask junkie at heart… Pampering on Sunday or Monday nights are kind of a habit for me at this point. So I decided to review a new mask once a month and share my thoughts.
For this first #MaskMonday I decided to try out the new Biotherm Wonder Mud mask. I had the opportunity to get it cheaper since Biotherm is quite expensive but still, I’m obsessed with the brand and the outstanding quality of its products.
I think this clay mask was the only thing missing to the Skin Best range (which day cream is the bomb) so now that I’ve finally tried it let me tell you about it 😊
First of all this mask has Astaxanthin which is an antioxidant that combats dullness and it’s made of mineral clay that absorbs oil and impurities. I will say that the primary reason I use clay masks is to reduce my pores and the Wonder Mud does the job perfectly.
One thing I love about this mask is the texture : a light and non-drying texture for an easy application that almost feels like mousse. I applied it with a foundation brush to avoid getting it too messy. It applies super well and doesn’t dry too quickly which is my second bonus. The mask doesn’t make you feel crusty or itchy (which happened to me before with other clay masks) It looks kind of shimmery on your skin (yes to the mermaid glow) and is super easy to take off too! I usually have to remove my clay masks using my Clarisonic brush because it gets super hard but not the Wonder Mud.
After 3 minutes I removed the mask using a damp towel but i’m sure you can take it off with just a face swipe! My skin felt fresh, soft and rejuvenated. My pores were diminished and my face was radiant. I can’t wait to use it again and report back to you guys in two weeks to see how it goes.
Please note that I hadn’t done a mask in a while so the result may be a bit enhanced 😉
