Still as part of my travel photo diary from Panama I wanted to share pictures of where we stayed most of our trip, in an area called Costa del Este, which is a business district of Panama City also called PTY (at the opposite of the Cinta Costera). This area has less tourists and it is very easy to commute. We mostly used Uber which is so much cheaper than in France (about 3$ a ride to the opposite of the city) the only bad point is that it’s not a pedestrian-friendly (lol) city so you can’t just walk all around town, you have to know where you’re going. But it didn’t stop us from exploring neighborhoods and meet locals.
If you have time, make a stop to the Canal de Panama at the Miraflores locks, the view is spectacular and it’s very interesting to learn how french engineers build the canal.
My favorite place to eat was Mercado de mariscos (located at the other end of the Cinta Costera) it’s a fish market where they serve fresh ceviche and other fish dishes. Enjoy the amazing food while listening to reggaeton and merengue and just be happy 😊
