Last week I wanted to give myself a little pampering session to escape from the chaos at the office so decided to give a try to the Asanda Aveda Spa Lounge in New York.
After reading so many reviews online I called to book a Caribbean Therapy Manicure/Pedicure.
Just for the heads up you should call 2 weeks prior for an appointment as it is booked all the time.
The spa is located at the 3rd floor of a building right on Broadway and Houston street, which is very convenient if you’re planning a shopping spree in Soho !
I was greeted with some tea and taken the the back area of the spa where it’s more quiet, with candle lights and soft music.
The pedicure lasted for an hour with an amazing scrub made of an exfoliating paste and warm seaweed masque. This treatment was rejuvenating, nurturing and smoothed my feet so well.
The pedicurist finished with a massage which much needed after a long day of work!
I then went to another room for the manicure which was almost the same exfoliating scrub + seaweed masque topped with a lovely hand massage.
Overall I am very satisfied with the services at the spa. The staff was professional and the therapist had amazingly gentle hands.
I went for the ESSIE in First Lady, a taupe-ish/light mauve color which is perfect for spring.
